Dunedin Rental Commentary - August 2025 (June stats)

In June, the median weekly rent remained unchanged at $495, consistent with the same period last year. The lower quartile rent also held steady, while the upper quartile rent eased slightly, down 1% to $595. A total of 264 bonds were lodged, in line with June 2024, and 264 bonds were closed, marking a modest 1% increase year-on-year. Rental availability continued to expand, with an average of 408 listings on TradeMe, a 32% increase compared to the same month last year.
