Dunedin Rental Market Update - April 2025 (February statistics)
Median rents have increased year-on-year, while the rate of tenant movement between properties has stayed below average.

KEY POINTS:

• Median rent increased by 7% year-on-year to $495 per week in February. 
• The lower quartile rent the month was a 7% increase from this time last year
• The upper quartile rent remained the same year-on-year which was $650.
• 450 bonds were lodged for the month which was a 15% year-on-year decrease. 
• The number of closed bonds was 378, which was a 0.7% decrease from this time last year.
• The average number of available listings on TradeMe was 342 which is a 4% decrease year-on-year.
