Dunedin Rental Market Update - February 2025 (December statistics)
The market is showing another month of decrease in movement between properties, however there has been an increase in rent per week from previous months.

KEY POINTS:

• Median rent increased by 13% year-on-year to $650 per week in December. 
• The lower quartile rent increased 17% year-on-year to $411.
• The upper quartile rent increased 4% year-on-year to $650.
• 246 bonds were lodged for the month which was a 84% year-on-year decrease. 
• The number of closed bonds was 11751, which was a 37% decrease from this time last year.
• The average number of available listings on TradeMe was 406 which is a 9% decrease year-on-year.
