Dunedin Rental Market Update - November 2024 (September stats)
The market continues to show increased movement from tenants between properties as supply increases and rental prices are more aligned with the quality offered.
KEY POINTS
- Median rent increased by 13% year-on-year to $550 per week in September.
- The lower quartile rent increased 18% year-on-year to $410.
- The upper quartile rent increased 3% year-on-year to $600.
- 237 bonds were lodged for the month which was a 13% year-on-year increase.
- The number of closed bonds was 243, very similar to this time last year.
- The average number of available listings on TradeMe was 497 which is a 24% increase year-on-year.
