Dunedin Property Report - November 2024 (October stats)

The spring market has delivered plenty of new listings for buyers to choose from as expected. Even with this extra choice, buyer activity has remained strong with the average time to sell reducing significantly. 

KEY POINTS

• Median sale price up 4.2% year-on-year to $620,000 in October.
• 171 sales for the month - very similar to this time last year.
• Properties are selling faster, taking an average of 35 days, down from 47 the month prior.
• The number of houses for sale increased by over 11% month-on-month with 755 listings now available on Realestate.co.nz.
• There are currently 134 listings available over $1 million and there were 22 sales over $1 million in October.
• There were 9 section sales and 13 townhouse sales for the month.
